Age UK Age UK provides support to adults of all ages (16 yrs+), including unpaid carers. Age UK Islington provide advice, guidance and can help people to engage with specialist agencies and social groups.  
BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials The BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme supports children and young people facing exceptionally difficult circumstances. It provides items such as beds, cookers and other items critical to a child’s wellbeing. All applications must be made by a registered referrer.

The London Borough of Islington Resident Support Scheme provides support to residents facing severe financial hardship and in need of one off or temporary help with urgent living costs.

Turn2us offers practical information and support to people who are struggling with financial insecurity. Their website includes: 

  • a Benefits Calculator to find out what welfare benefits and tax credits you could be entitled to
  • a Grants Search to find out if you might be eligible for support from over 1,500 charitable funds
  • a range of information and resources to help people struggling to get by.

They also provide direct financial help through a range of specific funds.
