That’s the question behind a new research project commissioned by Islington-based funders Cloudesley and Cripplegate Foundation, working in partnership with the Islington Strategic Advice Partnership (ISAP) and Islington Council. We appointed the Advice Services Alliance, working with researcher Ian Browne, to undertake this research.
The research examined the issues of disrepair in social housing in Islington, gathering the perspectives of those working to address disrepair in the borough, alongside secondary research and local data, to understand the scale of the problem, its impacts, and the systems used to manage it. It recognises that tackling disrepair remains a complex problem, but one for which there are possibilities available to mitigate its impact. The research report, Tackling Disrepair in Islington, is now available by the link below.
